« I heard through someone else that the shop was recruiting. This is my first season in le Village – Arc 1950, I was in Chamonix before and how different that is!! Here there is harmony and because the village isn’t as big as a lot of resorts the whole thing is more inviting. I’m really happy to be here, I’ve enjoyed meeting loads and loads of people and the vibe amongst us ‘seasonners’ is really great fun! »

« I did my job hunting once I got here. I gave my CV to a shop and was taken on for a trial straight away. I’d never worked in a shop before and have enjoyed learning on the job. What I really like about this place is the diversity of the clientele, the fact that I speak English a lot and that I sell beautiful things. Working in these conditions is great. There is a friendly atmosphere amongst the seasonal workers and with the sleighs tinkling passed, pulled by dogs or horses there is a magical feel about the place that is lovely! »
